101 Tips for AO

Feel free to add your little bits of information on playing AO. Some might know it already but someone might not so share away...

1. Backpacks can be renamed.. Just open the pack from your inventory and then click on the 'i' in the top left corner of the packs window and select rename, easy and sooooo useful as it make organizing your stuff a breeze. It can also be used to create joke links for the chat windows.. see how many people fall for the "Ehmat's Twenty Slot Belt" and sending them on quests for it can be even more fun

2. If you're short that 1 skill point for that new piece of equipment then look at your base stats (strength, agility, intelligence etc) and try and boost them with IPs or buffs. All skills are effected by two stats and buffing the right ones can squeeze that last point.

e.g. Vehicle air is affected directly by Agility (20%), Intelligence (20%) and Sense (60%) so buffing those three skills (sense in particular) will get you those tricky last points.

3. Getting swamped by baddies cos some idiot decided to bring the dungeon boss and his henchmen out for a stroll? Try 'mesmerise' nanos, ok they're only available to Bureaucrats, Nano-technicians, and Traders. Great for turning that disastrous bloodbath into easy XP.

4. Need some meaty armour? In Perpetual Wastelands in the outpost at 1050 x 2500 (approximate, you may have to search a bit) you can find a trader called Thin Bernice who sells tank armour and battlesuits. She has a much better selection than the occasional heavy armour that turns up in the superior shops, though be warned theres some nasty creatures enroute to her so yalms are recommended to get there.

5. Still need that elusive 1point to wear a particular armour or wield that sword then pay a visit to Zoftig blimp he offers sunglasses that boost Sense/psychic/intelligence or hats that boost comp-lit and dimach. See http://www.anarchyarcanum.com/trade_blimp.html for more information.

6. Dont waste skill points on Vehicle ground (you'll only end up wishing you put them in Vehicle Air).

7. Never, ever, ever, ever put skill points into swimming or I'll laugh at you (and so will everyone else!)

8. If you do misplace your IP points you can reset them using your reset points but these are limited in number so use wisely (note: you cant reset Map Navigation so only put points here if you really need the map upgrades)
