This is really cool - thanks dude! Will add a link to the nav when I get my machine back on its feet!

And towards the end of the month when I have money again, I may pick one or two up methinks :D Can vouch for Redbubble - I've bought from there before and they're good quality!

It's hard to tell how a couple of them will come out looking (specifically the two with the ideals on them) but hopefully they'll look nice and crisp when printed :)

I've done a main site image for the store:
Image
I borrowed the model images from another tee site to do the mock-ups. Hopefully that'll still be ok to use in our carousel?
(I've added some new designs as well btw!)

[EDIT 1]
Also - New wallpapers for the site using some of the new designs:

[EDIT 2]
I've been working on a poster design since the weekend as well btw which I've now finished and uploaded to the store (the file was <censored> huge lol). Here's a preview:

I created some of the other shirt/wallpaper designs with parts of it as you'll see. Came out really well if I do say so myself. Really happy with it :D

How do you feel about advertising our location? Adding the web address to any of the designs?

I was thinking about doing something with the logo we have in the banner above actually. I'll probably do that at the very least. Will keep you guys posted ;)

I have a question about this item...
http://www.redbubble.com/people/msteine ... and-ideals

Were cuneiform letters researched to create the logo or was there a culturally familiar auditor involved?

Many moons ago I was a competitive martial artist (GoJu Ryu). I was more into the soft style of the discipline, and wanted the Japanese symbol for 'water' on my left arm. My senpai came with me to have a bit of hardcore 'Kara', 'te', and 'Do' across his chest, as he was a maniac.
The parlor refused to accept our images of the symbols requested until we brought in actual texts showing the symbols.
Seems that many in the past had looked up letters and or sayings, then combined them assuming they spelled out a name, word, or sentence. They were unaware that combining symbols altered meanings.
The parlor had been sued as one guy had brought in his 'name' spelled out letter by letter, when combined the overall meaning became 'tiny hand' or 'lady hand'.

Just want to make sure that the shirt doesn't actually read 'Those who sexually service llamas' or something like that.
Though that would be a cool shirt too.

From the page:
These may not be a direct translation but I had a friend help translate their meaning for me:
自由 (Freedom)
平等 (Equality)
名誉 (Honor)
誠実 (Integrity)
友情 (Friendship)
I did a google translate at first (yeah, I know lol) which I then ran past someone else who knows some Japanese, who then ran it by a Japanese friend of his who revised it slightly. So, as best I could really. I understand that the translation of integrity isn't word for word for example, but has the same meaning.

If anyone else wants to double check them though, that's cool. I didn't want to put a straight up google translation on there for the same reason. We wouldn't want this, would we? lol :)

Excellent Job MS :thumb:

A couple of questions if you don't mind me asking.

1. How long did it take you to set up the store?

2. Is there anyway of having front and back logos on the same item with the two logos being different?
I.e. star on the front with web address on the back?

Cheers

:D

Sure, nps :)

1. Opening the page itself didn't take that long really (full address, payment info) though you can then go and add profile descriptions, watermarks, link all your other sites, add an order receipt message for your buyers, set overall pricing etc, which takes a bit longer. Ofc you can leave all that stuff alone though.

2. That would have been nice to have but doesn't appear to be possible unfortunately. See pics below.

Here's a brief view of the uploading process:
So first thing is to upload your artwork file [The t-shirts are 2400x3200 pixels and the prints I designed are 5000x7100], then you get a page like this:
1.jpg
1.jpg (143.09 KiB) Viewed 61943 times
Which if you scroll down, shows you all the products available. It will automatically enables every item which your artwork has a high enough resolution/size for, but you can manually choose those yourself as well. There are 15 categories in total.

Down at the bottom of that page, you assign a title, description, tags & what not:
4.jpg
4.jpg (115.91 KiB) Viewed 61943 times
Clicking edit on a product will then give you:
2.jpg
2.jpg (101.83 KiB) Viewed 61943 times
Where you can align & scale your design, choose a default background colour and choose whether to have it appear on the front or back (if it's clothing, the buyer can choose this themselves too). So as you can see, you can only have 1 image on either the front or back, rather than one on each. Tis a shame but not to worry. You go through each of the categories you want to sell stuff for (pic 1) and do this.

Finally, on the second tab is where you enable the individual items under the main product category you're in, and set your markup. Products appear with a markup of 20% by site default (can assign your own default too) but (my prints aside) I've set that at 0% for every item on the store so the prices are as low as they can go.
3.jpg
3.jpg (86.87 KiB) Viewed 61943 times
Once you're done, all you need to do then is hit "save work" (image 2) and they'll be added to your store. Can then sort their positioning & stuff, create collections etc :)
I've got a couple more design ideas in mind which I wanna try when I have time but I've been adding stuff to it all week so there's lots in there already! :thumb:

Thanks for the info MS.

I'm associated with a couple of organisations where bespoke merchandise in small numbers may be very favourable. (Scouts and Band)
I'll point them to our store as an example and see what they think.

Once again a great job and I'll just go and buy myself a new mug (at the very least) ;)

:thumb:

No mug bought but I did order a couple of t-shirts. :p

No worries Ash, glad to help :thumb:

If you (or anyone else who buys anything) wants to take a pic or 2 of the actual items when they arrive, that'd be great. Everything looks fine in Photoshop and mocked-up but it would be nice to see how they actually turn out once printed!
I've just been charged for my Shenmue 3 KS pledge today but next time I have some money spare I plan to pick a thing or two up myself as well :)

Well my T-Shirts arrived today

https://www.flickr.com/photos/135051629 ... ed-public/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/135051629 ... ed-public/

Okay now for my initial impressions.
The t-shirts produced in the Euro zone are 100% cotton made in Kenya.
The t-shirts are pretty thin especially when compared to t-shirts supplied by companies like 'Last Exit to Nowhere', who I use quite frequently.
In my opinion the T-shirts will work fine as a layer, say under a shirt or fleece, but probably wouldn't be used on their own by me.
The shirts do arrive with a slight odour so I instantly hand washed them, luckily I did to as the red shirt did leech.

Overall I'm satisfied with the purchases, its nice having something with the logo on and I will find a use for the shirts.
I would have been happier if the T-Shirts were slightly thicker so that I would have the option to wear them on their own with shorts over the summer.

I've finally had a free weekend to integrate the Store into the website, and add the new wallpapers and avatars too :)

A lot of these designs are fantastic. Hats off to MS once again for the awesome graphics that never disappoint.

The review from Ash is most appreciated as well. I don't often order shirts from shops like this or CafePress because it's difficult to judge the quality of the shirt and the printing job. I don't really mind thinner material myself, so I'll be ordering one soon.

I am still curious as to who manufactures the shirts, Haven't been able to find out on the Redbubble site.
