I don't take credit for any of this (yet). I intend to eventually add/post some of the info that I've been gathering myself. If anyone else wishes to do the same then hopefully we can get a mod to edit it together. And if necessary, reorganize

I was thinking more along the lines of personal experience. All the little things you won't find searching on those websites, but still make the game that much easier/better nonetheless. Granted, those are good sites for looking up info. Especially quest/mission/recipe/item stats. Good to have around when you need them, but not fully comprehensive, and each with their own shortcomings. And yes, I realize some of the links listed are just information that you can find on those sites. But I'm not about to ignore good threads that've already been made.
The atlas is great too, I meant to stick it in here eventually. You took care of that for me

Yo, FFXI gamers...
Just wondering...
I was playing this game and stopped doing so 2 years ago, are stuff like Gilsellers/train-zonning (which leads people who zone in to die surprisingly and lose Exp in the process)/Hard Exp still the same?
I mean...
The game is so great which makes it so shameful if such things aren't looked at from Game-Masters. I almost feel the need to return to this game for what greatness I've seen in it (gutta say, this is the best FF ever, after FF7 'course)
Though I tried talking sense into GMs about how serious those things are, and how they affect players, which made me end up leaving the game. But they seem to be unfriendly in the most cases (don't know why) and never really give me the chance to talk my thought to discuss it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not attacking the game in any sort, all I'm saying is that 'maybe' they could make the game even better.
And for leaving the game since 2005, there might be such changes in the topics above that may make me return to FFXI, who knows?
I will really be grateful for any info
*bow~*

You can't, really, train monsters into people anymore, they fixed that over a year ago. Once you aggro a mob, if you zone, it depops. It will not re-aggro anyone else.
They have made levelling a little easier too, they changed the values on mobs 9generally increased them, especially at the easy prey/dc levels), and added items, status from guards and job abilities to the game that increase exp amounts for short periods of time.
