Question about rank missions

Gondolin is having trouble getting Rank 2, Mission 1 in Sandy to trigger.

He has the rank points, but the guard doesn't offer the mission (Rescue Drill, if you do not know).

What else affects whether a mission will trigger?

If its that last mission to go up to rank 2, then you must have the Rank points bar to be entirely full. Then you may get the last mission to rank up.

As mentioned earlier that you can give the person who gives signet, crystals preferrably earth crystals since its the cheapest.

He seems to have full up Rank points, I had him trade a bunch of crystals.

Of course there might be a sliver not filled in that he's not seeing. Hard to know without logging in as him.

He should also double check that he doesn't have any other missions still active. This can be check in the main playing menu under missions. I had this problem when I was still a rank 2 kiddie. I had "finished" everything I needed to do, but I still needed to go back and talk to the starting NPC. That's the only other thing I can think of that might be causing problems.

He just did "save the children" I wonder if he needs to talk to the chrch folks again...
