Post some if you find any. I thought these were cool, most of them demonstrate the currently overpowered one hit kill dumbfire missiles.

If you hold down the missile button in the new patch after launching a missile...

Good stuff. It was fun playing it, and by the looks of it the gamepad is pretty good as a control system.

Also, use www.pomf.se for these, as there you can upload up to 50mb's of data, and like a full minute of gameplay that way.

Aye, I used Firefogg for the converting and pomf.se to upload.
Vids 5,7 & 8 were all 40 something mb (the others were much less though) but since downsampling screenshots and saving them at 1080 increases the filesize, I'm guessing it's the same here to some degree. Looking at those 3 I'm thinking the 30 seconds mark is probably the limit for hitting the 50mb cap with the settings & resolution I'm using so I'll keep that in mind for when I do some more.

Also in regards to vid #6 heh. I actually thought I could clearly pass you there but I forgot for a second that we were flying ships with wings and all, not cars like I'm used to

lol at the cars thing

I assume Shadowplay stores them as raw files? You didn't process (well I guess of course you didn't) the clips with a filter like h264 and then run then through firefogg?

If you do it like that, obviously the quality drops (but it still looks as good as the original to the naked eye) which means more time.

ShadowPlay encodes with h264 actually, but I imported the full clip into movie maker on top of that (to get individual clips) and saved those to mp4/h.264 too. Then used Firefogg to convert em all to webm. I was playing at 1440p and had the vid record it at 1080 but as I say, the screenshots I save which have been downsampled always come out bigger than a screenshot I've taken straight at 1080 whilst running a resolution of 1080 so methinks that will have something to do with it.
The biggest webm's are vids 7 & 8 at 43.6mb / 42.7mb and are 25 and 27 seconds long, so I could probably get 30-35 seconds unless I drop my settings methinks. I'll aim for some longer clips next time :)

Some webm's from our games yesterday: There's a few screenshots in the gallery too :thumb:

Much fun.
We'll have to make a regular thing of it. A good few of us have ships now so it'd be good to get some more of us playing together too, doesn't have to be just BD & I. Good practice too :)

Good that you included your death there by Reaper.

We have the same problem. Just POOF you're dead out of nowhere. No hits registered. No impacts confirmed. Must be a bug.

If you play the Drone Sim, you dying is a clear cut thing. You can tell by the impacts exactly where you got clipped and why you died.

Strange stuff. Hope they fix soon.

edit: Oh wait. It could be the lag. The lag from Europe connecting to <censored> Oceania or the goddamn Pacific on the West Coast. That might be it.

Other than that, WINRAR!

Now I have to teach you to be less eager... you're far too hunter-happy, and the latter waves as well as the elites prey on that. But I guess it's good you're kill happy, it's the only way to practice your killer skills.

Glad to see that the gamepad is a pretty great control mechanism tho. You'll do fine with just that.

Yeah, I'll try and play next time too - looks like you guys had great fun :)

Need to get the game installed when I find time, and go from there!

Just stick the launcher on in the background and let it patch away mate. Doesn't require any more attention than that tbh, it'll just do its thing whilst you go about whatever :)

Aww. No footage made the cut from the game we had that resulted in the server crash.

Anyway, very nice. More training tomorrow.

I'll pick a couple of clips out from the recording I have of the previous game tomorrow. Didn't manage to record it all as ShadowPlay decided to stop recording on me and wouldn't restart for whatever reason (not sure why but a restart fixed it). Figured I'd focus on the game we completed first.
Will update tomorrow :thumb:

Oh, I didn't actually expect you to get it out lol.

Who kills how many, when and why is largely unimportant. I can adapt the attitude to kill entire waves myself, and by doing so, manage to use up all my respawns by wave 6.

It's more important to be smart about it. Unfortunately SC doesn't display a dot next to the target reticle of the enemy one targets to indicate if one of your friendlies is targeting that same target. The ideal set-up generally is to divide and conquer, ie each one of us takes one to kill instead of both of us ganging up on the same target while his friends shoot at us. That said, in SC it's easy to see which target your squadmate is targeting just by the way they're oriented, and if they're using the Spray n' Pray Hornet, even easier.

There's also the way the AI chooses its target (woefully undeveloped yet) which is that they simply pick the one that was closest to them last. This can be exploited as well to get kills. We'll get there eventually, but great job so far. I'm kind of surprised you're taking to it so easily and well considering your general disdain for this particular genre. Good stuff.
