Let's hear your predictions for each day's matches all the way to the Finals.

Today's matches are: Mexico v South Africa and Uruguay v France

I'm saying 2-2 for the Mexico-SA match and 1-2 for the Uruguay-France match.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game Rules

Anyone is free to participate in this game, no matter at what stage of the tournament you wish to jump in. Merely post your predictions for the next day's games prior to the first of said games kicking off, and points will be allocated to you based upon the correct predictions you make. Editing of predictions is fine so long as it is done prior to the kick off of the first game. Should editing be attempted after this, that person's predictions will be discounted for the day.

All players will be awarded 1 point for each correctly predicted result, with those players on matching numbers of points being listed in alphabetical order.

Should come the end of the tournament there be a tie for first place, the individual with the most correctly predicted games in the knockout stages will be declared the winner. Should this not resolve the tie, a winner will be selected randomly by an impartial third party through IRC.

Happy playing :)

Current Standings

Isileth - 37 points
Anubis - 35 points
Mechanus - 35 points
Cyphon - 24 points

I won't be predicting exact scores, as I feel it's almost impossible to do so. I will, however, tip winners.

Today, I call Mexico and France.

South Africa and France.

Perhaps we can keep a running tally of correct predictions?

I'll edit a tally into the initial post once we have the first day's results.

Well, I figure just saying who will win is the easy part. Trying to guess the spread is a bit more challenging. But if you just want to go with who wins, that works for me. :P

Yeah so you did sorry Mech.

I retract what I said and replace it with a comment on the massive lead Mech has established and how he is running away with this competition.

I've edited the initial post with a few ground rules and the current standings for the game. As discussed on IRC, we will not be playing with scores - just names :)

Also, my predictions tomorrow are South Korea, Argentina, and England.

A fairly easy set of matches really.

Greece, Argentina, England.

Also, I think you should not that some didnt do this from the start, so Mech has a point lead on me, that I'll ineitably overhaul, but in less time  . I just think the skill of that effort should be noted.

I'm going to spice it up and be different, especially as I went against my gut feeling today and went for Serbia.
