Here are some interesting, to me anyways, notes from the Book 12 Patch notes that are posted at the following site (They added all the !!!!!. They must really be excited!!!!). Book 12 launches in February. My notes are in red.

Month of the Guardian
Month of the Champion, part 2

A wonderful new product called Dye Wash is now available at your local tailor! Dye Wash will remove dye colour from a piece of clothing or armour, returning it to its base color.

The Epic armour sets are now dyeable!

Disarm has been changed to give a Wound resistance check to negate its effects instead of just automatically working. This change also allows players to dispel Disarm like any other Wound effect.

THIS IS HUGE!!!!!! Time to stock up on what ever potions remove wound effects!!!!!! (These !!!!! are mine, this is really exciting to me personally, I HATE disarm!)

Lots of low level misc. recipes for most crafting skills have been removed from loot and are exclusively found on vendors.

Its wabbit season! (Sorry Mariwen, they said it, not me..)

Cosmetic weapon and armour choices.

A new swift travel route between Esteldin and Tinnudir has been added

A Reflecting Pool and Vault-keeper have been added to Esteldin. WOOT!!!!!

We've updated our vitals for level 50+ creatures to begin to pave the way for future content. This change may impact some creatures who are above level 50. *scrared*

You can now map the fellowship target marking commands to specific keys in the Options panel (ctrl-o) under the Key-mapping tab.

Added the ability to rotate decorations.

New drops can be obtained from several quest bosses and turned in at Whitethorn's Taxidermy in Bree-town for housing trophy decorations.

New reputation reward items have turned up for sale from the Men of Bree, the Elves of Rivendell, the Ered Luin Dwarves, and the Shire Mathom Society!

Player characters have some new animations to entertain themselves with when they are left standing around AFK.
Picking nose, scratching butt and gawking at passing cleavage????? One can only HOPE!

We've updated the Legendary Accomplishments listed below so that the needed pages are found on more creatures. Instead of being on very specific creatures in very specific parts of the world, all the pages can now be found in either Angmar or the Misty Mountains on Evil Men, Evil Dwarves, Ancient Evil creatures, Giant-kind, Orc-kind, Troll-kind, or Wights.

Does that mean all toons get to own a home, or they share in the ownership of the one home we are allowed to buy?

They share, as in they get to port back to the same house the main home owner has purchased.

Something else I read in a Dev interview done back in October said that the next phase of character development, as in level 50+, will involve either adding new legendary levels or abilities or skills to an already existing character or having the option of adding a new character to your roster, and thus potentially increasing the maximum toons to more than 5. This new character would start off at a proportional level of development to those who would increase their existing level 50 characters but he did not go into specifics.

In the Dev chat that WarCry hosted this week it was revealed that Book 13 will open up a shoreline area of Middle Earth so players will get their first look at the ocean. They didn't specify which area this would be but my guess is the Gray Havens.

Time to load Ozzy on a boat and head to the afterlife!!!! Maybe then I will finally win this damn game.......

I think it's just the artist in me, but I'm probably most excited about being able to dye epic armour. I care so much about how Deimos looks. :( A guy's got to look his best when in battle. If only they would allow us to get some decals on our armour so that it looks bloody....... ;)

As with previous patches, Turbine is offering bk12 as a separate download to make patching/connecting tomorrow an easier & faster experience (yay!)

Forum post here:
http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php? ... 7&t=119222

I'll link the torrent directly too:
http://download.level3.turbine.com/larg ... xe.torrent

If you're unfamiliar with the bittorrent protocol, Mutorrent, also recommended by Turbine in that forum post, is small & easy to use :thumb:
