Well, getting a bit sick of MW2 on the odd time I play it. Kids with the maps memorized so they can immediately fire noob tubes into spawns and run a map pattern from spawn to spawn. Glitchers and those who take Army of One perk to switch classes and thus have the use of a dozen plus rockets. Aimbot mods, and camping snipes focusing on spawns from across the map. Its gotten a bit ridiculous.

Was planning to possibly pick up the rehash of MoH but between the bad press and lackluster reviews on the multiplayer opted no to. Black Ops was a possibility, but I know its going to be MW2 with new environments (granted, some vehicles) so the standard MW2 player will be about.

But, had a buddy who swears by BFBC2 (work as a team, quasi realistic bullet physics, permeable environments, choice of spawn location). Thought I'd give it a go. Picked up the 'ultimate' edition today which contains all dlc to date (all maps, loadouts and vehicles) as well as a bonus full copy of Battlefield 1943.

Deciding factor for me was this vid...

If anyone's playing, Im tagged as 'Doctor 0zone' (the O in Ozone is actually a zero).

Vietnam pack came out this week. BFBC2 rocks, BFBC2V adds additional rockage.

Hopefully lots more info will be out this week during the GDC.

Frostbite 2.0 destructibility, significantly improved animations, fighter jets, 64 player support (PC), prone.. Can't wait. :)

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
