H'okay. I've just taken a sub to EVE. How why when where and what?

I R Stuck. I'd like to roll a combat character...

It looks very complicated. Mainly the attributes, I'm not sure what I need to max out to be effective.
ESO - EU - Ebonheart
Jalfrezi - Khajit DK/Destro
Peeks-Through-Windows - Argonian Templar/Resto

Sorry its taken so long to get to your querry mate. RL has been kinda hectic and haven't been reading forums alot. Anyways, combat pilots generally want a high willpower and perception to make it easier to train for combat related skills (spaceship command, gunnery, drones) though you still will need attribute points in the other related areas as well for engineering related skills like energy and cpu as well as the applicable tanking setup. The race yuo choose also determines the types of ships that you will be best at to start. Caldari - shield tanks, Gallente and Amarr - armor tanks, Minmatar don't really play them so not sure how to best fit one. You are not limited to what you can train, I have battleship done for 3 races and can fly caldari capital ships and the gallente freighter but was born amarr. Look us up in game, post your character name in here and we will gladly assist you in what we can. In game channel is SSX_public.

Since i rolled they have changed the character generation
quite considerably.
The descriptions are good enough to allow you to see that
you are specialising in combat.
As Oz mentioned, key attributes for combat are Perception and Willpower,
followed by Intelligence (as it speeds up learning of attribute increasing
skills).
My final suggestion would be not to confirm your character initially,
but use the back function to change options and observe the effect.
then once you are happy confirm.
