Elder Scrolls Online is free to play from Thursday to Monday. You can start preloading now, and begin playing on Thursday at 3am EST or 8am GMT.

I got the game on a whim last month, and I've honestly been enjoying myself a lot more than I expected to. I highly recommend giving it a go, as it's apparently changed quite a lot since release.

One-use codes are also widely available at IGN or MMORPG.com

To redeem:

1. Create a game account at https://account.elderscrollsonline.com.
2. Activate your account by clicking the link in the activation email sent to you.
3. Return to https://account.elderscrollsonline.com and sign in with your new account.
4. On your account page, click "Redeem Code." Enter your code in the popup box that appears.
5. Once your code has been successfully redeemed, a download link will appear on your account page. Download the game and you'll be ready to play! (Note: The game can be pre-loaded from now, but will only be playable from 00:01 PST on Thursday the 10th of December).
