Don't think I took any screenshots of this when it released a couple years ago so here are a batch from my replay of it!

Have to admit, the graphics of SC are freaking insane!

Trying to get a few good cinematic shots of my Warrior of Light from FFXIV with mixed success. May have something of my own to contribute in a few days

I shall look forward to seeing those!
Is that with "Group Pose"? (was just googling lol). Wish we'd had something like that back in the days of NC & vanilla Wow lol. Looks like a pretty cool feature too, not something I'm used to seeing in MMOs!

No, not quite. There are a lot of in-engine cinematics in the game as it tells its (pretty awesome) story, and some of these have some great scenes in them. It's a very very pretty game when it wants to be, and I am trying to get some great shots of my character, Oldaric Albertain, as I progress. So far I've got a few (below), but the shot I want of me showing off my beautiful full armour set is eluding me.
Hopefully more of these will follow. I'm getting back into it again and have Heavensward and Stormblood to go before the next expansion, so plenty of content yet to come

Your armour looks very nice in those screenshots at least! How does gearing up work in 14 btw mate? Quest rewards? Dungeon drops? Bit of both?
It's nice to see the game doing so well atm, those last 2 expansions seemed to have reviewed amazingly well as well from what I recall seeing!

Damnit I'll get a better shot soon haha - it looks great in the right light!M.Steiner wrote:Your armour looks very nice in those screenshots at least! How does gearing up work in 14 btw mate? Quest rewards? Dungeon drops? Bit of both?

And yep, gearing is a bit of both. I've picked up pieces through quests and (more rarely) loot, but the set I have now was actually bought using credits you get from running dungeons - you get bonus for doing dungeons for the first time or helping others run for the first time etc, it's a really neat little system.
And yep, so happy to see it doing well as I'm loving my time playing! The new expansion looks GREAT too

Star Citizen continues to look absolutely stunning! Keep sharing pics
They've actually inspired me to go back and replay FS2 some time soon, since it's been a few years. May share some pics from that when I do! In the meantime though, a few more from me from the rush to Heavensward including, finally, a good one of my gear
I have some even better ones I love, but they're mostly spoilery, so I'll just go with these for now

Ah yes, that's a much better view of your armour! Very nice indeed! (there's a surprising amount of detail on that clothing too, I may add)
It'd be great to see some FS2 screenies in here too bud! I wish I had taken some myself back when I played it tbh, I will have to do that whenever I come to replay it
Also It's funny you should say that as it was Star Citizen that finally prompted me into playing the Freespace games lol. They'd been recommended to me many times over the years ofc (FS2 in particular) but space sims had never really appealed to me up until these last few years so I kinda just shrugged them off. Tbh if Star Citizen wasn't as ambitious as it I'll still have gone without playing them I reckon, as being able to seamlessly go from flying, to landing on a planet, getting out of your ship and exploring, visiting cities with shops etc was the big selling point for me and what ultimately got my interest in SC. Had it just been a space sim without any of that I'm not sure whether I'll have ever taken that first step to pledging & trying it.
Playing SC's multiplayer hyped me up for SQ42 at the same time though as whilst I'm more excited about having this massive PU to play in & explore with you guys, the thought of having a single player story driven campaign to play as well also sounded great. BD had recently been giving me some of QD's FS2 vids to watch though & I slowly came to the realization that one such game was looking straight at me lol (albeit not being able to get out of your ship etc). I just so happened to see the game in the Steam sales not long after so I figured "why not?". The FS mechanics felt very familiar to me after playing SC too which certainly helped ease me in.
I do now feel annoyed though (as I'm sure you guys have for years lol) as it left me desperately wanting FS3 (or spiritual successor) and there doesn't appear to be anything remotely similar on Steam unless I've missed them. How is that even possible? (I want a current-gen storydriven dogfight sim). Guess I'll just have to wait for SQ42 lol

Last day of the year tomorrow so I figured I'd post my games of the year list for 2018
Looking forward to sharing many more screenshots throughout 2019!
MS'S TOP 10 GAMES OF 2018
Just to note that I've been quite split on my list when trying to decide between Red Dead Redemption 2 & God of War for GOTY. One day it has been GoW, the next, RDR2. This is how I'm feeling today lol. If you've yet to play one of them (or both even) and have a machine to play them on, do yourself a favour & prioritize them above all else. They are both phenomenal experiences and not to be missed
- RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 (PS4)
- GOD OF WAR (PS4)
- ASSASSIN'S CREED ODYSSEY (PC)
- HITMAN 2 (PC)
- TWO POINT HOSPITAL (PC)
- DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN (PS4)
- LIFE IS STRANGE 2: EPISODE 1 (PC)
- CELESTE (PC)
- NO MAN'S SKY NEXT (PC)
- NOT TONIGHT (PC)
I've still got a bunch of games to play from this year such as Yakuza 6 & Kiwami 2 (need to play some more of BFV too), plus others I want to play but have yet to buy like Frostpunk, Guacamelee! 2 & Return of the Obra Dinn, so obviously can't include any of those here (should I later feel should have made the list) & not sure how long it'll take me to get to them all either. I'd say this has been another brilliant year for gaming though with (at least for me) barely any disappointments.BEST REMAKES/REMASTERS/RE-RELEASES
- SHENMUE I & II (PC)
- SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS (PS4)
Decided to include these in a separate list since (while all of them would fit within in my top 10 games of all time list) I think RDR2 & GoW deserve to be in the spotlight for 2018.
Looking forward to sharing many more screenshots throughout 2019!

Some more from me from what has been a superb expansion. These are from by FAR the prettiest area in the game that I've seen. So so photogenic.

Very cool looking area! Is that a new (dragon scale?) armour set you've acquired too? Like that one even more than the previous ^^
