...and apparently, I'm an alcoholic.

It seriously looks like Nintendo was hitting the sauce, when they pulled this controller out of their respective asses for the Revolution.

I have not followed the Revolution since E3. Was waiting till the released something a little more substantial to consider.

That thing is HORRIBLE! If I wanted to play games using a remote control, I'd stick to Yooplay or whatever it's called on digital tv.

I saw a pic on another site.

I'll reserve judgment, but it looks unwieldy.

Then again so did the DS, and that works pretty well.

I recall someone saying how the analog thing was cool as it would follow the users hand movements? So in a FPS game, you'd just aim the sucker and "fire"... I guess that's better than using those unwieldy analog sticks with your thumbs.

I thought the N64 controller was tough to use, others swore by it.

I thought the N64 controller was awesome and that they killed it with the gamecube one. I mean who doesn't like to pull a trigger button like the Z button

I don't understand why so many people are knocking on Nintendo for their new controller. Yes, I understand it looks like a remote. Yes, I understand that there are a lot of question marks concerning gameplay etc etc etc. Yes, I understand that this is a big gamble for the company and may turn off a lot of gamers, but you have to stop and think about what Nintendo has done in the past in terms of innovative controllers.

1. Rumble Pack - Nintendo introduced this capability with the N64 and now all systems have controllers with rumble capabilities.

2. Quality 1st Party Wireless Controller - They introduced the WaveBird with the GameCube and now Sony and Microsoft have quality 1st party wireless controllers available for their next-gen systems.

3. Analog Stick - With the N64, they introduced the analog stick which Sony quickly used in their new Dual Shock controller for the PS1 and now it's unimaginable to have a controller without one it.

4. Link Capabilities - It hasn't really been embraced, but the ability to connect GBA to GC gave new gameplay options. The PS3 will reported be able to connect to the PSP.

The fact is that Nintendo has led innovation and the gaming industry has undoubtedly benefitted from it. So instead of knocking on Nintendo because of their new controller, imagine where our industry would be without their innovations. I won't judge their new controller until I try it out, but from the information already available, I think there are endless possibilities for their new design. Who knows, it might actually be fun,

By the way, you people do realise that it is in fact, a vibrator, right?
