anyone have any tips for playing a necro? I'm just trying to figure out the best spells and such to take to didfferent places....

I don't exactly know myself but I know that kaos just started fiddling around with necros and what not. Pad probably knows as well. VG would know cuz he plays necro all the time.

Asking VG would probably be the best. As for me, I'm just in it to have fun. I went full death magic and then rest into soul reaping. In order to have fun early on, you'll have to get a run to droknars so you can get t copperhead mine for Veratas Sacrfice (+10 hp regen to undead mininos) and quarrel falls (blood of the master, heal for undead).

With those two spells, just summon bone horrows. Don't bother with fiends as they cost too much energy or mininos as they're weak as !@#!.

Matters on what you want to do, are we talking full necro? or Melee Necro? you want to completely shut down 1 target or mass undead?

If your just looking for a good build to PvE with then I would suggest N/Mo. You have alot of options and can support heal farely well.

Good Necro combo:
Summon (insert fav create undead spell here)
Death Nova
Verata's Sacrifice

Personally I like really cheap easy to die minions.... cuz you get 2, yes they die fast but that is why you use Death Nova on em. Cast Death Nova on your minions and they become walking bloated hamsta-bombs

Just go Death magic its the best path in PvE hands down. Also try out:
Blood is Power(energy goooooood), Plague Touch (cheap condition removal), Taste of Death (good heal).

I have been playing as Mo/N and I like the overwhelming power to heal with the ability to steal health from others. It can be sometimes daunting though as you have to always be watching your stats and making sure you are keeping your health steals on all the avaiable victims. There have been more than a few instances where I was the sole survivor and I had to resurrect the rest.

I still love using my word of wrath(? big mushroom cloud) on the baddies. Very handy... Although recently I have been leaving my necro past behind as I have been spending more time casting heal party in Yaks Bend than actually fighting..
