Think we'll have to have teamspeak as a highly recommended rather than a required rule, as, as you say - Mac users are unable to use teamspeak. But for the people that have a PC its recommended even just to listen in on. I for one know bugger all about tactics n stuff in MC so listening to someone like QD on teamspeak will be v v helpful indeed.sam.freak wrote:Sounds to be a good system and all, but I have the problem that I don't have a PC and therefore no teamspeak or vent. What can I do?

The system sounds like a good idea but theres something I'm not clear about, it might have been mentioned and I missed it but how are the points distributed? is it an addon that does it automatically with the set values? or does the raid leader distribute them?
As for the issues of CTRaid and TS, I already have CTRaid but I don't have a mic so I'm going to have to do what was suggested and just listen in, but I'll try and get a mic as soon as possible.

If we manage to get a bot up and running the bot should automatically take care of the points and everything i think, if not then it will probably be the raid leader doing that job, with the help of the mods that are taking peoples bids. - Something we've yet to get sorted.Yuri wrote:but how are the points distributed? is it an addon that does it automatically with the set values? or does the raid leader distribute them?

just a question:
Why we use Teamspeak?
i think teamspeak cant handle 40 people at the same time.
i think you can better use ventrillo thats what most big MC guilds use
and it can handle more than 100 people at the same time so why use ts

Teamspeak will only be used by the SSX and maybe Thoran & Lici from GoE if they wanna use it too, i've already given them access. So there will be nowhere near 40 people on there.Tophen wrote:just a question:

If it turns out we have half SSX, half GoE for Onyxia/MC.. raids and such we'd probably have around 20 people max on there and thats if everyone was using it.

The insane druid has a point. What would be better for ssx, teamspeak or ventrillo?
Oh and Tophen, stop playing that bloody rogue on your "friends" account and get back to your druid

I am not in this guild anymore but I have a suggestion anyway.
Keep it or leave it.
I think rewarding ppl for being in time is wrong.
I think they should loose 3 DKP when they say they wanna join the raid.
If they don't show up the 3 points are lost. If they show up to late they get 2 points back wich means they have lost 1 point.
If they show up in time they get all 3 points back.
Same thing could be done for completing the instance.
I mean if you say you wanna do MC with a party they will not like you very much if you leave after 50 min.
Why reward players when they do something they are obliged to do?
Please do not let your feelings rule over your reason. It's me Kalmyr but it is this post that matters. Not who wrote the post.

Last I checked there were no Bots allowed for WoW as third party interaction with the data was considered bad. If there is such a bot for WoW please get me the information I can get you guys setup whatever it takes...

Because rewarding people for participation is better than punishing people for not participating. Why reward players when they do something they are obliged to do?
That's a basic management principle. Punishment never works as well as reward. Management through penalty never works for long. It doesn't scale.
If, and only if, after people prove themselves incapable of participating, should any penalties be assessed, and even then, it seems contrary to what it means to be the SSX.
If they fail to show up, stop inviting them and stop counting them in your head count.

Unstickying this discussion thread now - I have now added this to the SSX-WoW website with a few extra points and in more detail too.

Think there will be set caps for things like Onyxia's head n that, something we still need to finalise is a list of drops/values.
For the first run or 2 we will probably just roll if we need rather than going straight into negative points. Just for the first run or 2 until people have started getting points together.

The winners of the rolls, if we do go with this system, will go into negative points.SSX-MS wrote:Think there will be set caps for things like Onyxia's head n that, something we still need to finalise is a list of drops/values.

We will only allow those with the closest points to the requirement to roll, so if someone on the run already acquired lawbringer -> they can't have earthshaker.
For example.
