Ok just wondering if anyone would be up for having a little knock out tournament, for fun. I would just like to see how many people would be up for this before i look into sorting someting out.
As i think it would be nice for all of us to get together over a weekend say and play some games, write up some reports and laugh at each other when we mess up.

This would be open to all, even non SSX members as i'm sure some of know others who play this game.

Anyway what does everyone think 1v1 or 2v2?

Maybe we could take this oppurtunity to do some themed matches as well.

For the 2v2 make each side be "sensible" allies? Marines with Marines, for instance?

Well i would like to get this set up as some fun, so i dont really mind what races people use, but i would like to see it as random pairs, as i think it would be alittle unfair if the more active players went together, but hey thats just me.

Yar - I be up for it.

The only prob I have with teams is mostly from bad experiences with set ups.

As in last night - I was set up so 2 guys could get easy ranking points - stick me with a bloke who impedes my progress - and zerg me in half the time needed than if you were playing single.

Should have realised something when all the tags for names read [WTF] before them...

Damn dirty clans...

Do it over multiple days, pick from a hat who faces who, and play them as convenient. Sorta a mini ladder

And quiz my plan was to pull the names out the hat as to make it more fair and fun.

Well anyway just like to say on saturday 13th i will make the draw on IRC for everyone to be paired up.
I will email someone (BD as he doesn't have the game, if that is ok with him) the list before hand so that i cant cheat in anyway, shape or form. Not that i would lol.

So just wondering what would be the best time to make the draw as i know not everyone is online at the same time

Maybe we should just do the draw to pick teams, pick matches, and then decide on the time. I think people on both side of the pond can do saturday/sunday. That might be best to shoot for.

Okay i did want to wait so that more people could pick the numbers, but thanks to Anubis and MS here is the draw

Round 1

Night Fury and QD Vs Night Dreams and Chimera

Kill Joy and kahn Vs Crazee Eight and Inquistor

Anubis and Maester Seymour Vs Gryphon and SouSeeker

The games will start this saturday if that is okay with everyone.
And even if u lose u may still get into the next round by wild card.
So will someone from each game save the replay and do a screen print of the final score.

Also the win condistions will be Annihilate and control area.
The final will have different condistions but i have not made up my mind on them yet.
As i want this to be fun, so that the games last longer then 10 minutes take and hold will not be on, not even in the final.

should we post screenies of the final screen to show how everyone did?

It would also be good if everyone saved their games for someone to go through and review, or even give a play by play for their games.

I agree, i think the idea of a post game review for each game to add to the site would be great. Perhaps one person from each game could write them.
