Well, just saw the 'R rated trailer/test footage' released at ComicCon. I read a few of the Deadpool comics years back. I found his talking 'directly to the reader', and his knowledge that he was a comic book anti-hero (and therefore able to talk to/threaten his writers) was amusing, but it never endeared me to the comic.
Saying that, the film version seems to do the character justice, though I'm sure a lot of the swearing will be tuned down. You can't sell an 'F word' hero to the parents of young kids that have a Toys R Us shopping list.
If anyone hasn't caught it yet, heres the footage. Be aware, there's a few curses and an F bomb.

"Perhaps this is what I have always wished for since that day. The loss and destruction of all. That's right, one must destroy before creating. In that case, if my conscience becomes a hindrance to me, then I will simply erase it. I have no other choice but to move forward....therefore!" - Lelouch vi Britannia/Zero, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch
